GNM course extends over a period of three years inclusive of internship. The institute has planned curriculum to provide breadth of knowledge and skills in varied nursing situations to enable the students to become professional nurses in order to provide comprehensive nursing care in various level of health care settings.
The aims of the GNM course are:

| 9. | Vacations & Holidays | As per norms laid down by West Bengal Nursing Council. |
| 10. | Examination | A candidate shall be eligible for examination as per the rules laid down by the West Bengal Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council. |
| 11. | Registration | The students who are declared successful in the final year examination are eligible for registration with the W.B.N.C. as registered nurse and registered midwife. |
