ARTHROSCOPY
No pain, no stiffness, fresh lease of life to sportsmen arthroscopy
technique also providing relief for arthritic conditions.
Arthroscopy Unit
Sportsmen
are commonly afflicted with injuries around the knee shoulder and
ankle joints.
Earlier
injuries in the cartilage and ligament were rarely diagnosed
accurately, however with MRI even minor injuries can be diagnosed.
Injuries were treated by open operations before , often leading
to degenerative joints causing immobility. Now very small incisions
in the affected joints are performed through tiny incisions.
As the incisions are small post- operative pain, stiffness,
do not occur, with a required stay in hospital for not more
than two days. Post surgery, regaining a normal sports regimen
is very simple giving a fresh lease of life to sportsmen .
Chronic shoulder problems like frozen sholulder and problems
in the smaller joints can also be addressed by arthroscopy
, delivering excellent results to the patients, something that
was unthinkable even a decade back. |
